Our Junior League
About the Juniors Program (Ages 12+)
Pre-season commences in mid-February each year.
Training is 1-2 sessions per week depending on level and age. Younger groups can continue to participate in the age-based Skill Improvement sessions (once per week) and also attend team training once a week.
Older and higher level teams will often just have 1-2 team sessions per week.

The Riversdale SC Juniors program includes:
-
About 30 weeks of football commencing February
-
2 sessions per week (Monday and Wednesday) plus an organised game against another club, in a Football Victoria competition.
-
Juniors (U12+) playing their games on Sundays during the season (18 Round season)
-
The Monday Skills sessions, led by the Club’s Skill Development partner (School4Soccer Academy) are optional. Some teams/coaches prefer to substitute an additional team training night.
-
Team training sessions at this level may vary away from the Wednesday night sessions of younger levels to allow more training space
-
Team coaches are encouraged to participate in the Club’s Coaching Development Program
-
Paid Coaches may be considered in U12+ levels to focus on player and team improvement and prepare players for Senior football, if required
-
An increased focus on tactics and match awareness but the emphasis on enjoyment and fair game time remains.
