Riversdale SC would like to send their deepest sympathies to the family of Nick Smirnios Sr, who passed away suddenly last Wednesday. The funeral will be held this Friday (Sept 3rd) at St Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church, Epping St, Malvern, at 10am. Nick was a great supporter of the club, particularly of his sons Nick and Peter, and was a regular at games and training. Ashburton 1 v. Riversdale 1 (half-time: 1-0) A string of local dignitaries and politicians were on hand before this game for the official opening ceremony for Ashburton's refurbished pavilion.
